I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Are we not able to make an order at any dealership (allocated or not) for a Raptor R and then just wait for the build. Are we only able to purchase one provided to an allocated dealership and only then if we're lucky enough to be #1 out of 500 on a waiting list?? Is everyone here who received notice of their Raptor R scheduled for production the #1's of the 500 who are on these crazy lists?? What am I missing? Or are the dealers all lying to me and I should be able to place a "factory order" not a dealer allocated order?? Any input is appreciated. Thank you.
Impressive numbersFrom what I've been told from my dealer is that there will be something like 2,650 produced for the entire country. The region they're in will get 400 allocations for 600 dealers.
Don’t feel bad….you should proud that you can afford that. I paid 25k overWelcome to the forum! Hopefully, we get some production updates from Ford soon.

My dealer contacted me 30 min after order bank opened 7/18 and sent me the order/options pages.
In a bit over an hour after order bank opened I had my order in. Code Orange no other options
MSRP dealer 6 allocations & I am #3 of those 6.
Order was confirmed on July 27th.
I spoke with manager yesterday and he said #1 truck was already built but no indication on shipping, #2 truck scheduled but nothing yet on my #3 spot
There were 4 R's in my area in search but they disappeared after a few days (trucks with vins) If I change search to 500 mi vs 100 only ones shown are in california with Ken Grody Ford showing 4 R's in pipeline, I called a few CA dealers and all told me 100k over MSRP.
My dealer said so many changes they keep hearing different things. Ford called in 2 of their 6 for scheduling very early on and both were supposed to be early builds. (high up executives in a HUGE company) First truck built very early December.
In my opinion and having experience it is the R specifically that is being held most likely for a engineering deal and has nothing to do with parts like they lead one to believe.
What is really going on is Ford fired all the "reps" and did a full hire and none of them have a clue what is going on borderline illiterate and I heard that from a very good source.
My user name: I have a 1966 F100 that I have owned a month shy of 23 years and I dropped in a one of 5 sold by FP 2020 Raptor Crate engine with a 10R80
With 600+hp 660tq it is a real hoot to drive being 3890 lbs. I call it my F100 RaptorR Street Version
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the allocation! Another wave of Raptor R production starts in the next week or so. Hopefully, you get confirmation that yours is going into production soon.Newbie, first post

Wow, that's crazy about your wife's F150! Are they going to try and expedite that order for you?mine has been built since 12/9 but they keep changing the shipment dates. Originally supposed to be at the dealership on 12/20 then 12/26 now 1/6.
Dealership has no idea why they keep changing the date.
Sales rep said your lucky because his wife’s King Ranch F150 was scheduled to be at the dealership beginning of December but then he received an email indicating the vehicle was a total loss so he had to start all over again with the order.
Thanks! No big rush on mine as I need to sell some of my old truck collection to make it happen. Couple of those need to be finished and sold but now with economy looking like it's tanking I am always late to the party!Welcome to the forum and congrats on the allocation!
