That's not good! We are now getting close enough to the end of the year that we will be lucky to see some Raptor R deliveries before 2023.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Are we not able to make an order at any dealership (allocated or not) for a Raptor R and then just wait for the build. Are we only able to purchase one provided to an allocated dealership and only then if we're lucky enough to be #1 out of 500 on a waiting list?? Is everyone here who received notice of their Raptor R scheduled for production the #1's of the 500 who are on these crazy lists?? What am I missing? Or are the dealers all lying to me and I should be able to place a "factory order" not a dealer allocated order?? Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

I have a production date of 11/21. I ordered my Raptor R one hour after the order banks opened and was #3 on my dealership list. I was the first one to spec it out and order mine. My dealership indicated they were only going to get 1 or 2 allocations

From what I've been told from my dealer is that there will be something like 2,650 produced for the entire country. The region they're in will get 400 allocations for 600 dealers.
Impressive numbers
I’m very lucky…to get one

My dealer contacted me 30 min after order bank opened 7/18 and sent me the order/options pages.
In a bit over an hour after order bank opened I had my order in. Code Orange no other options
MSRP dealer 6 allocations & I am #3 of those 6.
Order was confirmed on July 27th.
I spoke with manager yesterday and he said #1 truck was already built but no indication on shipping, #2 truck scheduled but nothing yet on my #3 spot

There were 4 R's in my area in search but they disappeared after a few days (trucks with vins) If I change search to 500 mi vs 100 only ones shown are in california with Ken Grody Ford showing 4 R's in pipeline, I called a few CA dealers and all told me 100k over MSRP.

My dealer said so many changes they keep hearing different things. Ford called in 2 of their 6 for scheduling very early on and both were supposed to be early builds. (high up executives in a HUGE company) First truck built very early December.

In my opinion and having experience it is the R specifically that is being held most likely for a engineering deal and has nothing to do with parts like they lead one to believe.

What is really going on is Ford fired all the "reps" and did a full hire and none of them have a clue what is going on borderline illiterate and I heard that from a very good source.

My user name: I have a 1966 F100 that I have owned a month shy of 23 years and I dropped in a one of 5 sold by FP 2020 Raptor Crate engine with a 10R80
With 600+hp 660tq it is a real hoot to drive being 3890 lbs. I call it my F100 RaptorR Street Version

mine has been built since 12/9 but they keep changing the shipment dates. Originally supposed to be at the dealership on 12/20 then 12/26 now 1/6.
Dealership has no idea why they keep changing the date.
Sales rep said your lucky because his wife’s King Ranch F150 was scheduled to be at the dealership beginning of December but then he received an email indicating the vehicle was a total loss so he had to start all over again with the order.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the allocation! Another wave of Raptor R production starts in the next week or so. Hopefully, you get confirmation that yours is going into production soon.

Wow, that's crazy about your wife's F150! Are they going to try and expedite that order for you?

Thanks! No big rush on mine as I need to sell some of my old truck collection to make it happen. Couple of those need to be finished and sold but now with economy looking like it's tanking I am always late to the party!

Ford called in the first 2 of my dealers 6 allotment way back in July and looked like both would be early builds but spoke with dealer manager last week and he said only one of trucks was built and Ford would not give any info on others or when the built one would be shipped.
Appears to be a Engineering hold of sorts not just a supply chain issue.

I looked a bit ago online and found only 4 R's shown within 500 miles of me and 2 of those were at same dealer. These just orders no deliveries I am aware of on the west coast.

Couple weeks back it showed 4 Raptor R's ordered in Phx area but after a few days they disappeared. The dealers in CA I contacted that showed trucks on order said they will be 100k over msrp. My dealer is a MSRP only dealer.

Will post again once Ford calls in my order. Good to hear another wave of the R's will start soon. 6 months from now would be perfect timing for me to go along with my retirement.

How about this for a royal FU from my dealership.

Two weeks ago I was informed by my sales manager that my allocation, number 1 of three at MSRP had been taken by the dealership owner for himself personally.

He said that the $100,000.00 markups that the Kommie-Pornia dealers were getting was enough of a dirty temptation that he wold like the extra three hundred grand for the three trucks for himself and that he already had three customers with the money in hand.

I told him that I really didn't expect anything anyway since the greed factor was now out of control.

I said let me know if I might ever get a new truck as there is nothing wrong with my 2017 with just 40 thousand miles on it.

THEN last week he saw me getting that truck serviced and told me that my new truck was back to No. 1 for the allocation and that I should be getting a build date at any time. I asked him what happened to your owners big plan. He said that he couldn't talk about it.

I've got a gut feeling that Ford itself is getting into the game now as the complaints of price gouging at the dealerships is like never before.

Dealer called this afternoon to say #1 and #2 R allotments are now built and released ready to ship!
Well, Since my allotment is #3 I will be up next. Who knows when that will happen.
May or later would be a good delivery date. Mid june to mid july would be perfect.

Did anyone get the welcome to Ford Special Vehicle Registry email before receiving a VIN number email? Last email from the build was December 2, so according to their 45 day rule, I should at least get a sorry we're delayed email again on Monday or Tuesday next week.
