I stopped by my dealer today to see if I had my next step verified in the production progress as is shown on the Ford website.

He said nothing new but he heard that within a few more days the "Scheduled for Production" dates for the first production special series vehicles will be available.

This dealer now has thirty four Raptors on order. Fourteen of them are Raptor R's. Other than the three that were alloted to them, mine being #1, there is no word at all as to when the others will be built. He said most of his Raptor R orders were from other dealers in small po-dunk towns in AZ and CA that didn't get even one alloted to them.

He also told me that the Auto Start-Stop feature will not be part of the equipment group 802A on any Raptor R's other than those to be delivered to Kali-Pornia.

Can you even imagine an off-road truck turning the engine off every time you stop in order to get 15 mpg instead of 14 mpg in order to "save the planet"! Pure unadulterated moronic tree-hugger horse shit if you were to ask me. Seems like if those nickle and dime dip-shits that can't afford a hot rod Ford then they think no-one should have one.

They had just received their first F-150 4x4 all electric Lightning. A real beauty in royal blue. He wanted me to take it on a desert test run in order to get my opinion of the eight thousand pound piece of krap. I said maybe next week as I was really too busy. I will take him up on it though. The engine compartment has just enough room to carry a gasoline powered generator for use when the truck needs to charge itself when the 250 mile limit hits and you are nowhere near a charging station. Reminds me of some type of parasite that eats itself to death or the old tale of a snake eating it's own tail until it just nothing is left then poof, it's gone. It gets it 4x4 action with an electric motor at each wheel hub with the motor having about four inches of ground clearance. The tires are tall narrow rock hard versions of the ones used on UPS trucks that go 100 thousand miles.......of city pavement driving!

Later,

JJ

Thanks for the update! I was worried that a lot of dealers that didn't get allocations would be going around trying to pick up any extra allocation they could get and it sounds like this is the case. It sucks because it takes away allocations for regular people and it inflates the price even more than it should be. That sucks about the auto start/stop feature for those in California. Luckily mine isn't coming from there so I shouldn't have to worry about ordering an Auto Start/Stop Eleminator.

Scheduling for all F-150's starts on Oct 1.
Good to know! Maybe those with Raptor R orders will get an email around then stating that they are going into production. 🤞

I would think Ford would prioritize Raptor R's with the new colors (mine:D) and they would allow them to languish outside in a dirt lot on a chip hold.

That's what they have been doing with the Bronco Raptors. Over 600 Bronco Raptors have been built and they are just sitting there collecting dust.
